P.3 Wood Rot Revival
Charlotte’s Best Roofing installed a new roof through insurance in Gastonia, NC. Gaston county. The homeowner reported leaks in multiple locations. A Charlotte’s Best licensed contractor inspected the roof and found soft decking and wind damage. When the roof was opened up on the day of installation, wood rot was founded in many places along the decking. Charlotte’s Best replaces all wood rot before installing the shingles. Most insurance companies do not cover wood rot and as a result, many roofer skip this step.
Insurance Wants You To Deal With Wood Rot. That’s not how we do business.
Charlotte’s Best claim specialists worked with insurance to cover a full roof replacement. Even though insurance will not cover wood rot, Charlotte’s Best comes out of pocket to replace the decking. It is our belief that new shingles should go on a sound roof.
Customer satisfaction is always at the center of what we do. The homeowner called reporting leaks across the home. Insurance did not want to cover this roof but presented a sound case that they could not refute. Make sure to have a licensed contractor represent you on your next homeowner’s claim.
